    Rotel Fuses.

    Help.

I think I have a blown fuse in my RC1090 preamp. I took of the cover and saw that the fuse had a clear cover over it with a warning do not remove unless a trained tech. I suppose the warning is because of the power supply, but by just looking at the fuse it looks broken. Its a very small fuse. Has anyone ever change the fuse in the preamp before? If so, what size is it? And would it be to my advantage to get one of those hifi tuning fuses?

    Thanks much....Im already have with-drawls.

I've changed a few on power amps of various types, but not on your particular model pre-amp. I looked in the manual and it also says to contact Rotel.

The fuse size (amps and voltage) should be on the metal ends of the fuse. The power consumption is only spec'd at 13W so you will have a smallish fuse. I'd give Rotel a call and just ask if you don't see it...

      RB-991 keeps blowing main fuse
      by kingwilliam
      Hi all...

The problem: My RB-991 blew its main 12-amp fuse the other day (the fuse you can easily change from the back). I tried 10-amp fuses, but blew three in a row. No other components or speakers were hooked up to the amp. I unplugged the amp from the wall before swapping fuses....

Another fuse post. Help!! my RB-1090 needs you

Hi guys, I need help here. Last night I heard a pop, and my left channel went out. The reason is because I had a record cleaner plugged into the same multi outlet with protective circuit as my preamp. Usually I never have a problem, but the nitty gritty machine makes a noise when you shut it off. Dumb...

      RB-1095 fuse change
      by tomasito
      Hello,
Has anyone changed the fuse in a RB-1095.
I don't get audio coming out of the rear channe, I think one of the fuses is blown. I opened the 1095 and the fuses are buried way in the PCB.

I experienced this with the 1080, It was a blown fuse. The fuses in the RB-1080...

Help on which fuses to get
      by belzarrath
Last week I blew two fuses in my RB985. The fuses are to old to read.
I believe they are a 6amp 125volt porcelian fuse. I do not know if they are fast or slow blow fuses, I assume it is fast blow.

Can anyone verify the type of fuses which I need. I am also having trouble finding...

      RB-1080 fuse fix details
      by michaelb
      Hi,

does someone know more details about the RB-1080
fuse "fix"? As far as I understood the 4 Amp-PS fuses
will be changed from 6.3A to 8A together with some
      Resistors and Caps.

      Which Resistors, which caps, values?

      It seems...
