    RSX1057 vs. RSX1058

    So in my hopes to find a deal on a 1058 to replace my 1057, I have a question. My 1057 suffers from lack of HDMI not to mention that the HDMI does only video. My question is, can the 1058 accept a component video input, yet output to one of it's HDMI outputs? My 1057 can't and I would love to just have one single HDMI going from my receiver to my Samsung LED.

      Yes the RSX-1058 will do that. It has a DCDi scaler in it so it will take any form of analog video (up to 1080i) and and have it available out of the HDMI output.

          Thanks for the response... that exactly what I needed to know. Anyone think there are NOS RSX-1058s out there or should I concentrate on the secondary market? Also, what's a fair price?

              As you may know through some previous posts, I purchased an RSX-1058 HT receiver. I've been playing around with it for the past few days and have run into some problems.

              With my PS3 hooked up directly to my display via the HDMI cable, I'm getting excellent picture and some sound....
