RSX-1560 playback delay on CD input

I was at a local dealer auditioning speakers and I had requested the listening test use a Rotel RSX-1560 as it was my most likely purchase choice. We were using the CD inputs with identical Denon DVD players in two different demo rooms. Whenever we used a digital input (PCM Digital input according to my dealer), there was about a 3 second delay after the CD started, cutting off the start of every song. When he switched to using (RCA)analog inputs, the song appeared at its start as it should. We saw the same results in two different demo rooms using different but identical players.

Could we have been doing something wrong in our set up or is this a problem with the RSX-1560?

Pet Peeve - Re-using song melodies

So I have to vent. Can't take it any more.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never been able to stand it when musicians re-use melodies from other songs, trying to put it to brand new lyrics to create a "new song".

      First there was Vanilla Ice,...

      Whats up all?

Anyone first off know the release of the the 15 series? I'm also wondering about the RSX1560. It looks to have built in ICE class D digital amps built in. 7x100. Thats pretty cool. 4u rack space total. Thats also cool. I'm wondering how it would do in a 7 channel home theater...

      Hi all,

My RSP 1068 is still sounding great and continues to wow me every time a I put in a cd or dvd. It does get quite hot as I have seen on a review but that is minor.

My question is when I play a cd and skip to another track via my cd remote, there is approximately...

I'm getting very tired of my current center channel speaker (old $30 warehouse store bookshelf type speaker), I'm looked at trying to take the easy way out and have looked at a few production type speakers, but I haven't found anything that does it for me at a price point that I can live with. My mains...

      AGH! Rotel 1066 signal delay
      by jprzybylski
Does anyone have a problem with the 1066 NOT recognizing an input signal, or having sometimes an EXTREME delay?

Example, I sometimes have to switch between inputs before it recognizes an signal -- like -- I just put on the "Planes Trains and Automobiles" DVD. When I would switch...
