DACS RDV 1080 or RSP 1066

    DACS RDV 1080 or RSP 1066

    Well i own a RDV 1080 and a RSP 1066. Now i am wondering which of these has the best DACS.

    I cannot compare them cause i dunnot own a pair of good analog interconnects yet.

    Plz advice and which analog interconnect is a good one in combination with B&W cdm 7SE speakers and MIT T2 speakercable??

      Digital cables (coax not Toslink) will work just as well as analog ICs on the analog output, you just need two (2).

          I also have the same combo, although I have only had the rdv-1080 for a couple of weeks. I run a straight wire megalink ll for my digital
          out and Encore lls for the analog out. I have done alot of comparing
          between the two, and although they both sound very good, IMO....
          I prefer the digital out only because it sounds a little cleaner. The
          best advise I could give would be to get yourself a good pair of
          interconnects and compare. If you ever plan to get into dvd-audio
          you will need at least a stereo pair anyways. I haven't tried dvd-audio yet, but am looking forward to it. Good luck!

              Last weekend, there was a Hifi show here in the Netherlands.

              B&W Netherlands had a demo of the RDV-1060. The RSP-1098 was supposed to be there, however they did not manage to get it in time.

              They also did spin some discs on both the 1080 and the 1060. The 1060 did sound...

              I do have the RSP-1066 in conjunction with the RDV-1060. The RSP is upfront and the RDV is located in the cabinet.

              I'm using IR out 1/2 to pass the IR signal received by the RSP to the RDV. However no signal is passed.

              When I read the manual it seems like the RSP only receives...

              I am having a big problem with interference while watching DVD on my Toshiba 50" rear projection TV. The interference consists of scrolling diagonal lines sometimes fast and sometimes slow. The direction (from to to bottom and from bottom to top) varies as well.
