    little help? RC-970 BXII leakage

    Hi there,
I just bought my first piece of Rotel gear and am looking forward to getting some more (especially cause a pre-amp doesn't do much without a power amp), but noticed something that seemed odd to me.

As I said, haven't gotten the power amp yet, so when the pre-amp showed up (an RC-970BX MkII) I hooked it up to my CD player and plugged in my headphones. Everything sounded good but when the CD player was still playing and I switched the Listening knob away from CD, I was still getting sound out of the headphones. The volume was less, and it diminished more if I turned the knob another click away from CD, but still, is this normal to get sound leaking through the various inputs like this or does this mean somethings wrong?

It was an ebay purchase so returning it might be a hassle, so I want to make sure something's wrong before trying to do that. Does anyone else get sound leaking through the headphone jack even if you switch to a different input that's not currently playing?

    Thanks for the help.

Sorry I missed this. Most Rotel units use a common ground analog input section. If there isn't a ground coming into the unit on an input (nothing plugged in), then it will search for the next best ground (an input that is plugged in).

Perfectly fine to hear other sources on inputs that have nothing plugged in. This should go away once a source is plugged into that input.

I have 4 powered subs with one blended into each of the FL, FR, SL and SR speakers to essentially make 4 full range speakers. Because of this, I HAVE to run my Studio 60s and Studio ADPs full range out of the pro so the bass isn't cut to the subs. I am using a 1068 Pro and a 1075 to power all channels...

RSP-1068 standby mode & optical input glitches
        by rofafor
I upgraded my hifi gears to Rotels in June. The RSP-1068 was an obvious choice and tested it with RMB-1075 amp too. However the RMB-1075 and my speaker setup (Amphion Argon 2) didn't bring the same feel of sensation as Genelec active speakers, so my RSP-1068 is now connected to a nice set of Genelec...

I have decided to upgrade my SR4300 receiver to something a bit better and which uses my 6.1 speakers to the full. The annoying problem is because of the one 6.1 analogue input socket I have to keep swapping cables everytime I wish to use the DVD Audio player for DVD Audio discs, because I also have...

        Hi everyone!

I have been playing around with Unibox and have a few questions about some port length trade-offs. First, I have actually heard this driver in the 3" port configuration, and there was not any problems with the port configuration, i.e. no port chuffing or obvious midrange...
