Sony laptop and Rotel RSP-1069 HELP!!!

    Sony laptop and Rotel RSP-1069 HELP!!!

    To Rotel RSP-1069 owners...I have a sony VGN-FW285d laptop and I tried to watch a movie from the laptop connected to the RSP-1069 with an HDMI cord. The image is perfect but no sound coming out the RSP-1069. I tried to connect from my laptop headphone output to an analog input of the RSP-1069 but still no sound...

    Any idea or help would be nice.

      Two things you may want to check:

      - Connect the HDMI cable directly from laptop to the TV. Do you have sound?
      - When you connect your laptop to the Rotel, what is the audio output format set in the laptop? It should be PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS.
