    1560 ir problem

Hey guys just bought a 1560 and unless I am pointing the remote right at the unit it will not work. I have tried the remote that came with it and my Nevo, neither seem to make a difference any help would be great

I bought this from amazon but I don't know if it is all I need

    thanks

Unfortunately, that the one piece you don't need. You will need to get an IR receiver, a connecting block, a power supply, and a 1/8" mono cable. You plug directly into the back of the unit with the cable.

If you have a plasma or LCD, be sure to get a plasma proof receiver.

OK I get what your telling but I don't understand please explain it to me like a complete moron.

Here is what I got so far I don't need a emitter because the 1560 gets the info from the jack. but I need a ir receiver and a box of some sort and a plug to power said box

As you can see I am very confused so thank you for your help

You got it! They sell kits that have everything in one box (including multiple emitters), but that's probably overkill to just improve the reception of the 1560.

you would think a 3 thousand dollar receiver would have a good ir receiver built in my 1056 and 1057 never had this problem

Need receiver to match Vienna Acoustics speakers
              by jimatvs
I own a pair of Vienna Acoustics Haydn speakers (bookshelf) and need to replace a 20 year-old Denon receiver that is on its last legs (it can't remember FM/AM presets anymore).

I also have a HK DVD 31, which I just purchased. Great unit - although a side note on this is that if you...

              Need receiver for CCM series
              by av neophite
I need your recommendations for a new receiver to match (3) CCm 817's (L,F,C) and (2) CCM 80's (rears). This will be our primary system, movies, music, tv, games, etc. Need 5.1 and a second zone for outdoor speakers(WM2). My goal is to stay under $1,500.00 if possible. I'm aware that most of you...

Need receiver for B&W CCM series
              by av neophite
I've been researching many reviews and threads in order to pair a receiver to my B&W (3)CCM 817s and (2)CCM80's. I've listened to many brands in the dealer demo rooms, which I'll never be able to reproduce in my own home. So, I've broke it down to 3 units; HK AVR7300, Rotel RSX 1056, Yamaha RXV2500....

              RSX-1560 issue
              by DRSpalding
First off, I have installed and been using my new RSX-1560 surround receiver for almost a week now. It is very nice. My old NAD-2700 amps must have been really worn out because the magic is back in the theater room. I am waiting to get a BR player when the new Pioneer Elite systems hit the street,...

Rotel 1560 vs Rotel 1570/1565 combo
              by Industrial
Hi I'm pretty new to "higher end" AV and I'm a little confused. I was contemplating getting the Rotel 1565/1570 combo but then saw the 1560 receiver. What I need to know is why is that combo almost 1k more then the receiver? I keep reading that seperates are more flexible and upgradable. However...
