    REM IN plugs wiring‏

Could you please advise on wiring of 3.5mm mini-plugs to fit the REM IN jacks in Rotel recievers (e.g. RSX-1550)?
Basically I'm trying to figure out whether it's ok to plug IR receivers directly into RSX-1550 or a some connecting block will be needed. As far as I understand it boils down to whether Rotel provides 12V output for REM IN plugs.
The manual suggests to contact an authorized Rotel dealer, but alas I haven't got any in my area.
    Thank you in advance.

You need a connecting block and power supply for the IR sensor. Rotel, like most other companies, doesn't supply the 12v needed to power IR sensors.

      Rotel RSX1550 problems
      by Willempie
Thanks for having this forum as it is appreciated. I have a RSX1550 that has previously required repairs which involved some amplifier circuit board replacement done at a non Rotel facility. Now I have other issues on which advice of any kind would be appreciated. Outputs for two channel such as stereo...

      12v Trigger Instructions....again
      by aud19
ops: I know Andrew posted them way back when but for the life of me I can't find the thread :? I even checked his and Rotel's web pages. If anyone has instructions on how to construct the cable (though it does seem pretty straight forward) or has DIY'd one could you please post the process for myself...

      12v trigger question
      by benjamj
I know there have been several threads on 12v trigger issues, so I hope you will indulge me. I have an Onkyo receiver with pre-outs and 12v triggers for 2 additional zones. I am using an old 5-channel receiver to power those 2 zones, and have dedicated 2 channels per zone. The old received lacks a 12v...

      12v Trigger Sanity Check
      by whmacs
      Hi all,
I recently had a new home threatre installed which consists of my current Onkyo 787 receiver acting as a processor and new Rotel RMB-1075 and RB-1070 providing the amplification for a 7.1 setup (which sounds fantasic btw). The problem being that my Onkyo doesn't have a 12 volt trigger...
