If someone does that, it will most likely make the firmware harder to come by. They don't make it publicly available for a reason.

People can do what they want behind the scenes, but I will have to remove any public link to it.

Anyways, 1.1.6 came out a few days ago. Corrects the sub output level on MPCM signals to match the level coming from bitstreamed Dolby TrueHD DTS MA.

Should I use an optical audio cable for the DVD as well to get a better sound?
I have a Panasonic S97 model which is righ now connected through HDMI (video and audio)?

Nope. Just use the HDMI for the DVD player. It's just a U-verse thing.

Has this issue been resolved yet? I didn't really see a definitive answer and there has been a few fw releases since the initial post.

I rarely get the high pitch static any more, but it did happen last night. Wife was at the controls so I don't know what the pattern was that caused it.

So not quite fixed, but better.

              Rotel 1570/1575 12v trigger problem
              by RichardB
              Hi,

I have recently picked up a Rotel 1570/1575, and I am having a few problems with the 12v trigger between the 1570/1575. I am unable to get the 1575 to power on while using the trigger when turning the 1570 on. I have the trigger cable connected to trigger out 1 on the 1570, and the...

              Hello,
I recently purchased an RC-1570 pre-amp as a replacement for a RC-972 in a stack of 2 channel Rotel gear. Before placing into service, I was persuaded to provide the ability to spin some vinyl at the beach with some college friends, so for the time being it is feeding some KRKs and a REL...

              1570 and TiVo
              by Chris Williams
Hate to join the "my 1570 and HDMI don't play well together club", but I'm having real issues. I have a HR-10-250 HD TiVo connected via nothing but an an HDMI cable to my brand new RSP-1570. A good 50% of the time I get no audio. Reset all kinds of poop, reboot the TiVo, turn all kinds...

Folks, it's been maybe 8-10 months since TiVo was introduced, on the heals of Replay TV. At least Replay was advertised as " Coming" , some time before I had heard of TiVo. Actually, I think the first I heard of TiVo, was the night I bought mine. How's that for a spontaneous...

TiVo making a comeback at my house!
              by Lex
I decided to switch things up with TV. I'm diversifying so to speak. I'll have some DirecTV, and same cable. I cut my Directv package down to the lowest available, and kept Showtime. I'm saving approximately $70.00 a month on it by only turning HBO off, and loosing a bunch of nothing channels I...
