    RSP-1098 Coax In 1

    Hello,

    I came accross a used RSP-1098 with a great price the catch being its Coaxial 1 input is not working.
    Could it be a buggy old firmware version ?

      Not likely, but could be a sign of the digital board going out. If that's truely the only thing wrong, not a deal breaker.

              Can anybody tell me if this is normal..?When I use my sub and use the crossover filter in the RSP1098 the sub makes a popping sound every time the RSP1098 clicks from dolbydigital to 2ch and back, and when I change the input from cd to tuner and other settings?

              I don't own a receiver that handles HDMI so my sound is plain vanilla dolby digital via a coax cable.               Just got my first 2 Rotel components, namely an RSP1098 and an RMB1075.
              Very happy with both, even though they are severely being limited at the moment by my cheap Yamaha speakers which will be replaced with B&W (800 or 700 series) very soon.
              Only 1 thing i can't get to work, the speaker...
