Anybody who heard or who owns the RB-1090 noticed veiled high frequencies ? After changing my speakers, my CD player, I'm down to the last 2 possible causes that seem to veil my high frequencies : My RB-1090 amp, or my Arcam FMJ C31 preamp. I posted same question on Arcam forum, and here I'm doing same for the amp to try and find out which. Thanks.

I installed a 1090 (on loan from a V good freind) in my system about two months ago, replacing recently factory refurbished 200 wpc RB-990. If anything, the HF are resolved with greater accuracy, clarity and what I will call 'shimmer'. -

Check your pre. That amp should force even marginal speakers to cough up some decent highs.Lee
