    tdt00,

First, do you have a subwoofer? If no, then that is something to consider. If yes, then make sure your bass management settings in the 1056 are correct. Make sure all of the low end bass is going to the sub.

If you have done all these, then the next step is probably either better speakers or an external amp. If you have a dealer you can demo an amp with, this might be the way to go. However, speakers will give you the quickest improvement, but can be costly, depending on model.

    Hope this helps.

      htsteve,
no i don't have a sub. the dynaudio people told me the dm 2/10 can go flat at 31hz so i don't need a sub. however, i do have an extra 15-inch sub to throw in but i need to get an amp for the sub. my lower bass is a little boomy, it's not tight and deep :M

The Dynaudio website says it's only flat to 40hz. The 31hz might be where it's -6db level is (essential where it quits). That's borderline for music, not adequate at all for movies.

Without out knowing what you're looking for (or feel you're missing) it's hard to say though. Might be the placement in the room. Walk around while listening to music and see if the bass sounds good in any portion of the room.

do u listen to both 2 channel and home theater, becaus a bad sub will not work well with 2 channel but a b&w sub does a fantastic job with both movies and cd's , i cant believ they told u u dont need a sub

do not put a 15 inch sub in there oh god no, a 10 inch would be perfect for that room size, dynaudio should make a sweet sub that u can use , but those speakers should friggen rock, isnt the rsx1056 a surround reciever, r u just using it for 2 channel

Don't think anyone suggested this ... Check your sprrakers are on phase. Also check that if speakers have biwire trminals the links are in place or bi-wire cable is correctly wired (as appropriate to your setup)

since you have a rsx-1056 and small speakers I recommend a subwoofer.

Sub or Bass Bins for new Modula build??
                    by ctnsupra1
Well finally after exactly one year of completing my Modula MT crossovers (RS28a tweeter version) I built the boxes. And wow! These things are absolutely incredible in clarity and definition. I've been watching movies and listening to music non stop for the last few days. My question is two parts 1)...

                    Sub spacial filling
                    by tmbecker78
So, I decided to run a little experiment with the basement system with left over equipment I have accumulated over the years.

This discussion is for the sub system only. I have an Onkyo m282- rated at 125w RMS @ 6 ohm...not rated at 4 ohm per the manufacturer.

                    This amp...

                    Still doing sub research (long)
                    by ajpoe
I recently read the Tom Nousaine data thread from years ago.

I am considering Paradigm (Seismic 12 or Servo 15 v2) and SVS subs (single Plus/2, Ultra/2 or dual CS Ultras or PC Ultras), or may be I should just stick with what I have. I get 20% off Paradigm from my dealer and we all know...

No, we didn't watch The Godfather. However, we did kick off a day-long audio session with some fantastic cannolis (thanks Jim). Furthermore, we all wrapped up the day with the same thought in mind - leave the sub, take the amp! The Nuforce Reference 9 amps to be specific. Before I go further, let me...

Speaker Battle: KEF XQ5 vs. Dynaudio Audience 82
                    by jbreezy5
This is a review/comparison of the KEF XQ5's with Dynaudio Audience 82's:

I purchased a pair of KEF XQ5's used yesterday for $1,000 from Theatrical Concepts Inc. on Craig's List. They seem to be fully broken in; they lack the typical signs to indicate otherwise. Initially I was not sure...
