Rsx 965 5.1 Receiver
Am getting loud static noise when using video 2/3 for coax connection for cd player, rcc 955. Does not happen immediately but happens when receiver is fully warm-30 to 60 minutes after turn on. Is it expensive to fix and what is the problem? Is it a design fault. This is a low mileage receiver, not some beat up dog. jim

I was just at a dealer and he reminded me of my old RSX 965. I had it and there was a distinctive hum being generated somewhere and it sounded like a grounding issue but I couldn't get around it. I can buy a used Rotel RSX-965 for $400, or buy a [likely new] HT receiver for the same money. What do you guys suggest?
