    Rotel + B&W 685 match

    Hi,
    I am planning to buy the following gear:
    Rotel RB-1070 Power Amp
    Rotel RC-1070 Pre Amp
    B&W 685

    Does anyone have any experience with this setup?
    I would like to know if it will sound good.

    The Rotel gear is second hand and the speakers are new.

      Hi Shai,

      Unfortunately "good" is in the ear of the listener so only you can decide.

      I have run Rotel preamps and amps with B&W speakers for a couple of years and I like the sound but that doesn't mean you will.

      Boring but true...

          In compariaon to what I have right now, it will surely be an improvement...
          I just wanted to know if someone have ran this setup and that all components match one to each other (in terms of power, capasity etc.).

              I listened to them both and there isnt any audible difference in
              sound quality to me on B&W 685

              Rotel web site says the 1072 has a toroidal transformer. but it doesnt say
              if 1055 has the same....
