What is the general feeling about Rotel with respect to 2 channel audio? I currently have (and love) an Aragon Soundstage which does a great job for 2 channel and a nice job for home theater. However, I am considering moving to a new pre-pro that decodes the newer formats and accepts HDMI inputs. Will I be disappointed in Rotel's 2 channel peformance?

I dont think you will be disappointed. We are using some Rotel gear (RC1092, RB1092, RCD1072) with some B&W SIg. Diamonds right now and the system sounds fantastic! -
Its allways been their strong suit.
Even in their HT lineup, they have pursued less candy (bells and whistles) and stuck with sonics.
There is better out there, but, they are sonically superier to any mainstream consumer shot pieces you can find (ie:Yamaha, Denon, Pioneer...).
Your last question is loaded, for YOU are the only one who can determine that.Comment
