    Rotel 1092 with B & W N802?

I have an opportunity to buy N802 @ a great price. The question is what to drive them with. I was thinking of the 1092. I know there are mixed opinions on Class D, but.....Combined the 2 will cost me $6k. Sounds like a good bang for the buck, but will I be disappointed in what I get from the N802?

My dealer demos his 802Ds with a 1092. He must not feel that the 1092 is too shabby to risk making a bad first impression. Sounded fine to me...

I'm using a 1092 with a pair of 802d's. Totally fantastic! The 1092 is a very nice sounding Amp, with good mid-range detail, and it goes loud - very loud. You can't beat the "bang for the buck".

I bought the first 1092 from my dealer in Houston and I am not looking back - a very fine amp for the $$

I have a chance to pick one up for $1500. Sounds like a steal don't you think?

i just came back home with rb-1080 from a dealer, got it for $900.
i listened to rb-1092 as well, on B&W 805s, and to my taste rb1080 was better musically. but perhaps it is just me.

What is the best bang for buck upgrade one can make?
                    by P-Dub
Okay, here's some basic assumptions on the minimum type of HT setup.

                    1. Have 5 speakers. I know some don't but if you want the full HT exeperience get those speakers.
                    2. Have a sub. Any sub regardless of performance is better than no sub.
                    3. Have a receiver that decodes...

                    Need amp suggestions for 802Ds
                    by Adespota
OK today we bit the bullet and ordered a pair of 802Ds to be our front speakers. Our preamp is a Linn Unidisk SC with Synergistic Research active Sig 10 speaker cables and the X2 active interconnects. Our current fronts were 804s which will become our rear speakers.

                    But we need to replace...

Have you heard or watched the RDV-1092
                    by Boone38
I am still using the 1060 and wondered if anyone has listened to or watched the 1092. I just found out that my dealer has a few in and the have it set up with the 802Ds. The system they are using to compare it with is the high end Meridian. BIG cost difference. 1500.00 vs 4500.00. Of course they feel...
