I was hoping to use a 1069 or 1098 for integrating my Mac into my system, however both do not allow the Mac to communicate with my projector or monitors when connected through the HDMI. I tested this and for undetermined reason it does not work and Rotel preferred not to answer my inquiries. So I am looking at an external HDMI switch which are fortunately just $50-100 and pass LPCM. That is fine since I don't need a scaler or other video inputs, since everything accept the blueray player is routed and scaled through the Mac anyway. So basically I just need a processor to deal with the audio side which should be cheaper. I can't figure out which of the Rotel components will allow me to pick up DTS HD master audio from the Panasonic BD-50 through HDMI, LPCM or 7.1 and 5.1 analogue? It seems to be overkill to spend $1600 on the 1069 and not be able to use the video side.

What Mac are you using? These are the splitters I was considering. They all have signal amplifiers in them as well, I never found one that has dual output and didn't.
Dual Outout:
Octava 5x2 Switch + Splitter Distribution Amplifier with Toslink Audio Output
$299
Max Bit Rate 6.75 Gbps
Passes HDCP
Accell UltraAV HDMI 4-2 Audio/Video Switch
$299
Max Bit Rate 6.75 Gbps
Passes HDCP
Single Output:
XtremeMac
$99
Max Bit Rate 10.2 Gbps (Compatible with Apple TV)
Passes HDCPRDV-1045 - RMB-1075 - RSP-1069 - RCD-1072 - CM7 - CM1 - ASW 608- Bottom

Thank you. My media Mac is a old DP 2GHZ G5 with a X800 grafik card. The Octava is interesting, although I believe toslink doesn't have the bandwidth for DTS HD Master audio. One would need LPCM output. It says PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS digital audio at up to 192kHz frame rate. Maybe someone can comment if this would be able to deal with HD master audio.- Bottom

We ran into a disagreement about the nature of lossless formats. It is my understanding...-

by psrontomI just got my SE 20HD projector, and am in the hunt for my new DVD player with DVI/HDCP/HDMI output. I'd rather not go Bravo D1 because of its poor reliability issues... and it's the only non-HDCP player I know of.
To my knowledge, one device can strip / decode the HDCP from the DVI data,... -

I am having an annoying issue with a newly purchased Rotel RSX-1058.
Currently I have this unit connected to a non-HDMI Fujitsu plasma display via component cables.

by jam200Greetings everyone:
I just received my Rotel RSP-1582 with the upgrade to HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2. The cost was $300.00. If I had opted for just the HDMI 2.0 upgrade with HDCP 2.2, the cost would have been $0.00. Return shipping is included with both options. The HDMI 2.0a upgrade provides...-
