I am thinking of buying a rb-993 to save a little cash because it is a 3 channel amp. But I want the sound quality of the 1095. IS THE 993 THE SAME AS THE 1095 BUT ONLY 3 CHANNEL, or is there different "insides". I want to hook it up to my rf-7's and rc-7 (so I am looking for a the same "warmth" as the 1095). thanks rich
Is the rotel rb-993 the same as the 1095

I have had nothing but good experience with the 9 series amps.
My 13 yr old 980 still runs and sounds great, and I recently picked up a 990 that just was refurbished at the Rotel service center. The 990 sounds extremely good in my system.
Only concern with 9 series amps (or any other older amp for that matter) would be the condition of the caps, as they tend to wear/weaken over time. You can always have them replaced, though.- Bottom

How exactly do you replace the caps on the amp? Does it have to be sent to rotel for service?Originally posted by wkhannaI have had nothing but good experience with the 9 series amps.

by AmrasHi folks -
This is my first post and I just bought a used 993 3x200 amp through ebay after saving for a while. Since I listen to music as much as HT I needed something to take my Denon 3803 to a place it couldn't handle by itself.
First off - what's the general impression of this unit...-

by RoManHi everybody,
I'm considering a pre-amp for my RB 1090 and RMB 1095. I am looking at Rotel RSP 1068 (used) or an Outlaw 990. I would say around 1100 bucks or under would suffice for the moment.
I considered the RSP 1069 but it is very expensive and has many issues that...-

by JRamboHi, I recently read in a home-theater magazine that the Rotel rsx1067 was their first choice in the heavy-receiver class.. How will this receiver compare to a setup with rsp1068, rb993 and rb985mkII, when it comes to sound quality, as the price for these two setups will be about the same..-

My question - it seems that both...-
