    Rsx1056 and rb1050 ?

I have an rb1050 just laying around right now and was contemplating adding it to my rsx1056.The rsx1056 is rated at 100x2,the rb1050 70x2.Would it even be worth the trouble adding the 1050 to the rsx1056 for the fronts.Would i notice anything being the amp is rated lower.I just hate to get to the rear of the rec to add the amp and realize it was a waiste.

if you have surrounds channels, I'd use it on those. I highly doubt that you'll see an improvement in SQ with a lower wattage amp. (from the same company)

I ran that set up briefly, using the 1050 for my "mains" (Klipsch RF 7), and it worked fine, and did allow the use of the re-direct feature of the reciever to give 7.1 vs 5.1.

        by corysmith01
        Hi-

I'm fairly new to ht and have made a fair number of purchases lately. In doing research and becoming more familiar with the hobby, I've decided that I'd like to move to seperates. I can't afford to do it all at once, so I'd like to buy them one at a time. I currently have a Marantz...

        rsx 1056/RB 1050
        by hanker
I have an rsx 1056 and an RB1050 I am using for zone 2. Would I get any benefit from redirecting the front amps to zone 2 and using the 1050 to power the fronts? Speakers are B&W 685's. All opinions welcome, thanks.

Adding a power amp to a receiver
        by Andrew Pratt
As more and more people look to upgrade their sound systems people often ask about adding a more powerful amp to their system. Quite often this obsession we like to call our "hobby" leads us on a quest to sonic nirvana. As a group we are frequently upgrading our speakers or source components...
