    Rve-1060

    Can someone tell me if the RVE-1060 can convert an incoming 1080i signal to 720p.

    My current TV bobs 1080i to 1080p and then down converts to 720p so it is throwing out half the resolution.

      Nope, it can go up but not down.

      Did you mis-type and mean your TV converts 1080i to 540p then scales it to 720p? If not, I'm not sure how having something else convert it to 720p is going to help.

          Yes, that is what I meant. The Toshiba HD DVD 1080i output is the best but my TV works best at 720p. So I guess only standard DVD playback would look better via the Rotel.
