Can i somehow use the 1070 as a 3 channel ?Mains and sub woofer? Since it has 2 sets of outputs could I use the 2nd left output to my sub ?Thanks.

I would not call it 3 channel but that is the way to do it. Use the 2nd stereo pair for subs. Go ahead! :T

Yes you can do this easily.I would suggest using both the 2nd left and right output to the sub unless the the sub only has a single input, that way you get the bass signals from both channels. You then reduce the sub level control by about 3db to compensate for the increased input using 2 ch.

Yes, that is how I sent the signal to the sub when I had a 1070 - use both R & L channels.

Use Balanced Pro 1 as a 2nd sub channel
          by blownrx7
I have two subs that I want to connect using balanced outputs. I can use the normal subwoofer channel and wanted to use the Programmable Pro 1 channel as identical to the other sub channel. Going through the "Mix Levels" menu, there is no choice for "Subwoofer", just LFE. I set...

2nd Sub-out on 1098, any way to change??
          by Orange Peel
I just hooked up my other SVS in the bedroom, and I couldn't figure out how to get it setup for Zone2 operation. It sucks to have to use the main volume control to get the sub loud, and then you have the mains playing loud too, and the Zone2 speakers are independent and not as loud, PIA.

          RC-1070 A / B Channel
          by Parsonsk
I'm looking at the RB-1080 amp and RC-1070 pre and would like to know if there is an A channel speaker and a B channel speaker on the pre? I have speakers on my deck and in the living room that i have presently hooked up to my Denon A / B channels and can have the A's on or the B's or both.
