Hi all, I hope someone can help. My worst nightmare came true last night. My brother and I were moving my equipment from one rack to a new rack and lets just say the RB 1090 had a little fall. Sonically still fine but cosmetically looks like Shite!!! Can one replace the front heat sinks themselves or should it be brought in to a service center. Would like to do it myself, how difficult would this be??? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I called Rotel and they told me I could purchase the front heatsink for about 70.00. Then I called a service centre and they said they would repair for about 50.00 labour. I feel that this is a pretty fair deal. They recomended that I not try repairing myself. Do you think that thats reasonable? Roteller.Originally posted by Kevin DWell I don't even think you can buy the pieces separately. With everything involved I wouldn't want to attempt it anyway.

I think that is a V reasonable price.
If it means you don't cringe every time you sit down in front of your system, then it is $ well spent, IMHO.- Bottom

The actual rack, current as of today. Not fully complete, but pretty much so. I chose to go with a horizontal rack to allow the large window above it to remain unobstructed...-
