    RC 1070 v RC 1082

I'm considering picking up a Rotel stereo pre. Since this is my first venture into a dedicated stereo setup, I thought I'd seek some advice. At this point, I think I'm mainly concerned with sonic differences; I don't really see myself needing any more than 2-3 source inputs. So...

Are there stereo listening 'must haves', in the way of functionality, on the 1082?

Is there a considerable sonic difference between the 2?

If so, is it enough to warrant the price difference?

As a 2-channel nube, am I better off getting my feet wet with 1072?

    Any incite is greatly appreciated.

    Incidentally, it'll be running a 1080/BW 604 combo.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

    Stereo PreAmp Review: RC-1082 V RC-1070
    by miket
    Hi,
I just wanted to give a few comments on the RC-1082 that I obtained recently. I moved my RC-1070 to my bedroom system and replaced it with an RC-1082 in the main system.

    1. Overall the difference is very noticeable, more so than I thought. I had figured that the weakest link...

    RC-1070 vs RSP-1066 for 2ch analog
    by TommyV
I picked up an RSP 1066 as a backup pre/pro to my 1069. It has been in my 2ch rig pulling duty as a stereo preamp for a while now. I think the sound is good. Much smoother and pleasant than the Parasound 2100 stereo preamp that I had before.

I have been wanting to pick up a real Rotel...

    Rotel RC-1070 Vs. 1082
    by BWLover
I would like to buy a stereo pre amp and im wondering which one to get. I only plan on hooking up a rotel RCD-1072 and two RB-1080's. Is the 1082 going to have any difference in all aspects of sound quality over the 1070?
