    Rotel 1068 Echo-like sound

    Hey guys, I am hoping that someone has come across this. I have a new 1068 and I am powering my towers with the 1080.

    I have an echo-like sound, kind of like a large hall sound on an ordinary receiver effect, that is driving me crazy. I have set my 2 channel mode to analog and have even used the bypass feature and it sounds the same. Has anyone run into this? Have I just mapped and inputs wrong? It sounds like an effect is being applied to the CD option.

    I know that the speakers are good to go because they sound great on my other setup. Any help would be appreciated.

      Did you change any of the wiring from the amp to the speakers? Sounds like they could be out of phase (One side has the speaker wires reversed).

      If you're getting sound when in bypass mode, then you hooked to the right outputs.
