    New Rotel web site

Rotel has finally launched their new web site. I think it looks much better than the old one did.

I think it's a nice start anyway. They're still missing some of the new products RSP-1069 which (was on the old site) and RMB-1076/1085.

      Also, I don't understand:

If you go to products in DVD players you have RDV-1092, but if you check the catalog you find the RDV-1093.

In Spain (and I think in Europe) you can only find the 1092.

What is the matter with this two models? Maybe they had so many 1092's built and not sold that they are selling us the 1092 until they run off of them?

Rotel is updating the new web site every day and adding the new models all the time. The RDV-1092 and RDV-1093 are the same DVD player except the RDV-1093 is RoHS compliant. That is the only difference.

What does RoHS compliant mean ???

I noticed on the new site there is no longer any archived user manuals.(Older gear)

I found this a great source of information and hope they put all the manuals back on the new site soon.

                Brother Kevin D.

I take it that you have a RSP-1098. If you do how do you rate it's two channel audio performance for CDs? Could you describe the sound and I know all of this is very subjective but I'm looking at the possibilty of buying a 1098.

I would be the last person to ask. I enjoy listening my music in PLIIx and most of the music I enjoy would be far from reference material any way.

HI, I have the RSP-1098 as well and I bought it specifically for its 2 channel performance over the RSP-1068.... The RSP-1098 is able to reporoduce a realisic 2 channel soundfeild with good dynmics and 3D imaging.. At the time I compared it to the Rotel RC-1070 (which it was better than) and the RC-1090 which it was not quite as good as. Doubless other high quality dedicatd pre-pros would also beat it.. But fo rmy (reasonably fussy) ears its good enough.. And the 5.1 and 7.1 sound fields are amazing - beats any reciever I have heard

Its nice that Rotel has such a fan as you, I understand you are a dealer.

I love my Rotel components and will purchase more as needed. However to say they update their websire daily is a real strech. I emailed them and asked why their was no mention of the new models a while back. I never received a reply, but miraculously the website was updated with RSX-1058 information within a few days.

This is ridiculous, the darn things were being sold!

I do like their new website's look. But c'mon the old one needed to be updated long ago.

John k's web site, musicanddesign, expired on Sep 1st. As many of you know, it contained a wealth of information, much of it is available nowhere else that I know of. Having used it as a reference many times and used John's dipole spreadsheet to design my current system, it would have been a shame to...

                        Rotel's web site relooked
                        by AlvaroD
In case you haven't noticed yet, the Rotel's web site is under heavy work :

                        http://www.rotel.com/

not everyting is functional yet but I love their new layout

Another thing I love is that, we, europeans, will have a dedicated web site soon :P

Noticed that B&K has launched their updated web site. IMO, it looks quite a bit better than the (tired) old design they've had, but still a bit shallow on content:

                        B&K Components

They've also announced a pretty nice looking new ht processor and receiver at CEDIA...

                        Rotel web site gone (?)
                        by Blindamood
Tried to access Rotel's web site today, and all I see is a generic page from the web domain host. Anyone know what the story is? They just revamped the site, so I don't imagine they're doing it again. Maybe they didn't pay their bill...?
