Rotel web site gone (?)

Tried to access Rotel's web site today, and all I see is a generic page from the web domain host. Anyone know what the story is? They just revamped the site, so I don't imagine they're doing it again. Maybe they didn't pay their bill...? :lol:

Maybe they're switching hosting providers, and the DNS switched over before they could get the site set up on the new host.

When I do a whois on the domain rotel.com, it shows the last update being 1/9/08 (today). So they must have changed the DNS but haven't gotten everything switched over yet.

I guess they forgot the #1 rule: get the site up on the new host BEFORE switching the DNS records. ops:

Does anyone happen to know what the original web server IP address was? Current IP address listed in WHOIS and DIG search are redirects to Network Solutions placecard servers.

But be warned that for most links inside you will need to replace rotel.com with the IP address if you want to navigate the site.

Rotel is probably updating to keep current with their stuff at CES. Which puts them way ahead of manuf. like McIntosh.

Or add the line: 69.84.158.125 rotel.com www.rotel.com to the HOSTS file on your PC. Then you should be able to navigate the site no problem.

Just make sure to remove it after the site does switch over.

Yeah right.. Unless they changed their ways since redoing the site last year, you'll be lucky to get new product info after its shipping.
