The only time I've had an issue with that amp (or the RB-1050 and RB-1080 for that matter) running hot is with an impedance lower than 4 ohms. How much ventilation do you have around it?

Never. I had it driving a pair of B&W N804; never warm to the touch and never clipped.

1068 runs very hot - has never shutdown
        by Pez
Title pretty much says it all. Whenever I see a thead about a rotel component running hot I always check my 1068 and sure enough its always hot to the touch. When the weather is hot it gets hot enough where I wouldnt want to keep my hand on it for any length of time (my apartment has terrible air...

        Room for ventilation...
        by weijst
I got this quote from another thread (thanx Aussie Geoff ). Here 2 inches at the top is defined as "good ventilation" (for the RSX-1056).

It made me wonder: how much room for ventilation do you guys use / recommend for your (pre)amps? I remember my manuals stating to use...

How much ventilation for amp/receiver in wall?
        by basementjack
I built an in wall cabinet for my Rotel 1075 5ch amp, and my 1056 receiver.

Can I get some feedback from others who have done this - how much ventilation is needed??

I purchased a 120mm fan, and I plan to cut out a hole in the top of the cabinet and install the fan there....

How hot does the RSP 1069 run?
        by kmcheng
This is a question for all the lucky 1069 owners out there. How hot does your unit run? The manual recommends 4 inches of clear head room. My cabinet would allow 2 inches at most, but with a somewhat open back panel.

Does any owner put the 1069 in a closed cabinet? If so, what is your...
