5.1 Surround Speakers as Mains on a 1057

When you have a 5.1 signal coming into coax 1, is there any way to isolate the audio that is being sent to the surrounds and play only that audio through the front left and right speakers withough unplugging the speaker wires in the back?

The reason is to only have the crowd/field noise and not the annoying announcers for the football game.

Nope, no way to internally route the individual signals.

You could just unplug your L/C/R speaker cables if you use banana plugs I have a friend who likes to watch football the same way. Or turn off L/C/R in your receiver settings.

Being that this is my frist time posting, I will say hi to everyone here and thanks also.
Well in Oct. I added a RB-1070 to my system and I was very impressed with it. So in Nov. after further reading I added a RCD-1072 to my system and was very impressed with it too. And then the wife let my...

          Hi guy's

Just got the RSX 1057 on Saturday. Had a chance to play around with it all day today. Well first off, the 1057 replaced my 3 year old RSP 1066 as a Pre/pro. I have the RSX 1057 hooked up to my RMB 1075. I just have the front 2 channels running out of the 1075 and have the center...

          1057 setup questions
          by Mike Rivera
I am about to pull the trigger on upgrading my Denon 3600 A/V receiver (which is starting producing some static-like noise in a surround channel) with a Rotel 1057.

I'm a big fan of Rotel as it powers my downstairs 2-channel "separates" system (Rotel 1090 amp, Accurus Pre,...

audio quality when using 'zone out' plugs for a preamp on the RSX-1057?
          by Tino D'Voe
So here's my idea; I have a room dedicated for hometheater with a rotel rsx1057 running a B&W DM300 series surround set.

          I also have an RB-1080, 2 B&W 683's and a rcd-1072 setup with a Rc-1070 in another room.

I'd like to use the 683 in the theater room because...

          RSX-1057 vs RX-1052 in stereo
          by Robosapien
I own a Yamaha RX-V1500 surround receiver and, as you can imagine, am not satisfied with the two channel SQ. Compared to the RX-1052 would the RSX-1057 be capable of satisfying my quest for good two channel sound? I like the processing, switching capabilities, etc. of a surround receiver but I've noticed...
