1077 - No Right Surround Sound...

So, a weird issue for me... My Processor is a Yamahah RXV-1400, with amplification handled by a Rotel 1077.

I noticed during the Super Bowl that the Right Surround channel wasn't playing anything... So I checked all the connections, tightened everything, though nothing appeared to be loose.

I then switched the Surround Left Preout from the receiver to the amp over to the right surround input, but still no love...

Finally, I just disconnected all the speaker connections, and reconnected, and voila! Sound...

It kills me, because it was working 2 days ago with no issues, and there were no loose connections, but I guess there's something to be said for unplugging and replugging in everything...

    Glad my stuff is on casters (;

This isnt the same as your situation but my place is very dry with static electricty abound. The other day my finger touched the 1068 and I lost sound from all speakers. I hit the video input the button (that the 1068 was already selected to) and sound came back. Has happened one other time as well.

      My RMB-1077 review.
      by Kevin D
I've waited a while to post this, because I wanted to really run through the paces. My old system consisted of a RSP1098, RMB1095, a RMB1066 (with four channels bridged for center rears), and a RDV1040. The new system has a new 1098, the 1077, and a RDV1050.

So aside from the 1050 (that...

My friend has just purchased this "all in one" DVD and Surround receiver along with the Denon SYS-500SD 5.1 Speaker System. On noticing that it decodes 7.1 Dolby Pro Logic IIX he now wishes to add a further two speakers as surround back channels. He has Denon's Mission Bookshelf Speakers from...

Speaker Wire Connections to my RB-1070??
      by rattmann316
Im fairly new to this home audio thing and I was wondering if someone could help me out. Im having trouble with the speaker wire connections on the output of my RB-1070; mainly they seem very loose and are easily pulled out. Audioquest interconnect type 4s with silver banana plugs are being used....

      Rotel 1068 pre-amp and 1077 amp driving B&W 804S
      by Hugemongo
Got this new set up, am bi-amping the front two B&W 804S but am needing quite a lot of juice (about 70-75) before the sound picks up enough to fill the room convincingly to be a good sound....

Is this a result of the underpower of the 1077? Anyone else seen lower volume levels capable...

      RMB-1077 amp problems, Help!
      by hery19
Currently have the 1077 amp connected to a 1069 in a 5.1 channel set up and 2 remaining channels powering zone 2. Using a 12v trigger to power the amp. The problem is that when I power on my system there is sound only coming from the right front, right surround speakers and sub, no sound from the center...
