    Audio Dropouts fixed!

Steve Simon of HTF has posted that Outlaw has found and fixed the audio drop out bug in the productoin 950's! He's posted his report on HTF, AVS and the Outlaw Saloon.

Noted. Speed of thumb twiddling has increased.

When I read this on HTF, I sort of guessed this meant I'd have my unit by 4/25 or so. With still no communication from outlaw, seems unlikely.

    Whatcha think?

      Brandon,

To be honest, I have no idea. I haven't wanted to bother the Outlaw's any more than necessary while they've been working on this since I don't have a 950 to test things for them.

I hope they ship soon myself since I'm fairly well down on the waiting list.

Yea, it's been almost a week since the fix was reported yet nothing "official" has come from Outlaw. That seems a bit odd to me.

Maybe they're waiting until the fix all the units in their first batch?

FWIW, there was a report on the Outlaw Saloon, by a user with the handle "Turbo", that he had just received his "fixed" 950 yesterday (the 18th). It's the 7th post down in this thread.Several pepole asked for followup info, nothing yet. Unfortunatley even this thread, as so many other Outlaw 950 related ones have lately, has degenerated into foolishness.

            Official update from Outlaw Audio
            by psklenar
It's been mailed, as far as I understand, to everyone on the waiting list for the Model 950 Pre/Pro. However, in case there's someone reading here who isn't on that list, or hasn't received it for some reason or another ... someone posted the full test of the email over on the Outlaw Saloon in this...

            Lexicon vs Outlaw 950

How does the Lex DC/MC really compare to the 950? I read some of the beta reviews with the positive comparisons, but honestly I get lost in some of those long HTF threads.

Can someone explain the history and differences between the DC-1, DC-2, and MC-1. Is the DC-2 the same hardware...

Outlaw 950 vs Aragon Stage One (in the house!!)
            by Ricky
A friend of mine had a few days left before he had to return his 950 back to Outlaw (he bought the AT Clone and uses an Anthem Pre2L for his 2 channel listening). I thought why not? This is a good chance to try the Outlaw in my system for a couple days. I did a few comparisons the past 2 nights and...
