Thought I'd drop by and say hello. I can't wait to get my rsx-1056 up and running. Got a black one for 645USD mint condition. Looking on getting some Studio 20's to go along with it!

Welcome to the club. I have had a 1056 for a while, and it is truly an excellent-sounding piece of gear. Enjoy. It may be premature for you, but if you ever get the upgrade bug (not that any of us ever do), getting a 1075 or 1095 amp and using the 1056 as a pre/pro/tuner offers another, higher level of sound quality. Just in case, for future reference only.- Bottom

Tell me about it, I just bought a 42" Aquos d62. No banding and sweet for gaming and movies.
One thing about this 1056 receiver...it doesn't have a sleep mode? I'm so used to setting the timer of my old Onkyo at bed time and zone out with the tunes going.- Bottom

Thats because when you listen to it you dont want to go to sleep. I also got a 1056 and cant seem to part ways with it even though there are many HDMI receivers out there. With the new formats doing 1.5 Mbps DTS (Toshiba) and 640 kbps DD (Sony) via optical compared to 480 kbps and 758 kbps respectively on DVD or even 320 kbps at the movie theater - I feel no need or desire to do the HDMI thing. Trading a few bps for proper bass management, Dolby Prologic IIx 7.1 and cinema EQ is more than OK with me.Originally posted by av30Tell me about it, I just bought a 42" Aquos d62. I just added a Pro Cinema 1000 5.1 system with the 2000 center channel to my 1056. Color me impressed. This is one seriously nice sounding piece of electronic equipment.Originally posted by rick cI'm with you here.I've upgrade around my rsx1056.Love it.
What are peoples thoughts on using analog vs digital outputs for listening to cd's?- Bottom

by ApogeeUserHi,
I just wanted to register and tell of the great experience I've had so far with the 1056. It's almost a week old now. I'm using it for HT to feed my CLASSE amp which drives Apogee Duetta Signature as front L/R. The 1056 is used to drive Apogee center as well as Bohlender in-walls...-

by youngjun91Hi, new 1056 owner here. Got a question for you all. My 86db speakers are not real easy to drive, although so far in my room, they sound very good with the 1056. I was thinking of buying a couple of subwoofer amps specifically made to drive the subwoofer section of my NHT 2.5's, namely the NHT SA-2...-

by drsieblingI'm a new 1056 owner and have been doing some experimenting with the receiver's crossover settings. I'm a bit curious as to how others have theirs set. I am running B&W 602s3s all around with a M&K MX-125 sub. This is a 5.1 setup and all of my speakers are set to small. I am using high-quality...-

by TorchumJust wondering if anyone could help out a new 1056 owner in regards to tapping into the brain of my new friend. I push the OSD button, the "osd" icon appears. I then push the enter button as instructed...nothing!
This has to be a minor oversight but I am at a standstill with my set...-

by ChiefJosephGreetings, first time poster, rare reader (maybe that will change).
Not sure if this will show with this post but I have had my Rotel 1056 for a few years now and use it with Paradigm Reference Studio 20s (v.2), Ref CC, Paradigm Sub, and some random Klipsch surrounds.
I...-
