    Replacement for RCD-1072...

    Is there one in the works by Rotel or they want to keep this much acclaimed player forever? I already have one and want to get another for a 2-channel rig...hence the inquiry about future plans for this excellent unit.

      Rotel hasn't said anything about a replacement for the RCD-1072. They may hove one in the works, but they haven't said it. I think they are spending most of their time on the new surround preamps and receivers.

          Thank you, Eric. I went ahead and purchased another RCD-1072 today. That coupled with RA-1062 driving a pair of Era Design 5 Satellites is amazing. IMHO, it is a very good (and simple) audio solution for a small room and the family loves it. Now I go work on my HTS

              Its from a german site called http://www.gute-anlage.de (translates into www.good-system.de), which is a site from the german distributor I think. They have the RCD1072 listed at 899 euro with the following text:

              I have the option of buying a new RCD1070 for about 30% less than a RCD1072. Is there much of a difference between them ? Any problems with the earlier model i should be aware of ? The saleman says ther is little if any audible difference between the two models. Any thoughts would be appreciated....
