    RCD-1072 Remote . . .

    So unfortunately my remote quit working on me and it is out of warranty

    I can use the remote for my RC-1070 for the most part, but I'm missing the forward and reverse functions, which I really like for being able to re-listen or move to various parts of a song without having to hear the entire track.

    It sounds like a new Rotel remote for the 1072 is about $75 Canadian and I'm not sure I want to pickup a Harmony just to get those two functions back. Any ideas? Does anyone know if the cheap universal remotes would work with Rotel stuff? I'm not sure if they would learn the Rotel codes, etc. I assume these things aren't really serviceable once they die.

      Any of the receiver/preamp remotes come pre-programed for their CD players. You might have better luck finding one of thsoe cheaper.

          where in BC are you? I may be able to help. I may have a few Rotel remotes kicking around.

              However, you are in LUCK with Vancouver!! :T And in Canada too!!
              You are a lucky guy ,despite the dead remote you have! :cry:

                          I need a RR-969 remote for my RSX-1065 receiver.

                          Searched the web and found nothing for that particular model. There are replacement/ universal remotes for others, but not that specific model....
