    Losing Preset Stations

I was doing some electrical work and had to cut the main power. I lost all my preset stations on my RSX 1057. All my other settings seemed to remain. Is this normal or do I have a problem? I thought I would post first before I call Rotel.

Normal under certain circumstances of power outages. Its best to turn the main power switch off rather then toggling power while in standby. A battery backup will prevent it from happening due to power company issues.

So you're saying if I go to the back and switch the main power off before I turn the breaker off I won't lose the stations?

          Restoring Default from a Preset
          by reddavid
Finally, I have a question for the esteemed B&K club.

On the Ref 30 (et al), I observed the following: I saved and use a Preset to listen to a CD - select DVD and Stereo 5 and drop the Rear speaker level to -3 (my favorite CD listening setting). I put in a DTS or some other DVD and...

Help me choose a Rotel system
          by spacey
          All,

Thanks to those who responded to my previous post. I've decided to purchase Rotel. We auditioned the RSX-1065 today and really enjoyed it. My options are:

          RSX-1065 - dealer price $US 1895
          RSX-1055 + RB-1070 - total dealer price $US 1845

          Power Supply
          by Trevor Schell
I am about to pounce on a new case, however I can buy this case with a 300 watt power supply included or a 420 watt power supply.

What would be sufficient. In what I have seen so far, the 300 watt size seems to be most common. So why would there be a 420 watt supply available? What would...

Live next to madisound, compared Idunns and ZA5.3s, questions about power response
          by bunshi
I'm new here (see the bottom for unimportant information about me).

I'm debating about building Mark K's ER18DXT or buying the ZA5.3s since the cabinets are currently 77$ off. As a relative new guy to DIY speakers, the ER18DXTs seemed really attractive because of the waveguide tweeter,...
