My dealer offered me a RC 1090 for $850. Should I buy it at that or wait for the new RC 1082 that is suppose to come out in May. I fear if I don't pick up the 1090 offer, someone else will. But I don't know how much an improvement the 1082 will offer. And, the price difference is around $500. Just thought I would commiserate with you guys and get some good advice. JNorth1178

Considering few have heard the RC-1082, most rave about how the RC-1090 sounds, and you could probably get most of the $850 back if you decided to sell; I think the decision is easy..

I went ahead and bought the 1090 following Kevin's thinking. Installed it this evening, and it is great. Much clearer and sharper than the 1070. Now I have a near-new preamp to sell. Guess i will put it on Ebay or Ausiogon. Thanks for the help. JNorth1178Comment

Attached are pictures of the spec sheet for the new RC-1082 stereo pre-amp. Unfortunately they were not able to add a HT bypass to the unit.
