Can I use regular rca connectors to cover the connectors in my 1068. I just don't want them to accumulate any dust and stuff. Will this affect anything? Thanks

I can only recommend buying some solder on RCA plug and not soldering any wires to them. That's the only way to insure there will be no shorts or issues. I wouldn't use cut-off plugs or loose cables.
That said I wouldn't even worry with it. Any dust that might accumulate will be easily blown/vacuumed out.

I have some unused canare connectors and that is what i would use. No cable or nothing, just the connector.Comment

Currently I'm in contact with Rotel regarding my 1095 that gives of a hum when connected to my pre/pro. The hum that the amp gives of is only present when my DVD player is connected to pre/pro via coax but not with optical. I have just recently found out that you can create RCA Cables out of Cable Coax. I was wondering if it is a good idea to do this or not.
What companies make the best coax and rca connectors? The Best sheilding? What type of Coax? If RG6 Analog Video or Digital video Coax?
