If the banana plug is soldered in to the cable then go for that. Iv'e seen some other brand amplifiers that can not use the bigger spade connector like the Nad M3.

On 2nd thought, how often do banana plugs get broken off by accident?

I've owned the Xlo Ultra 12b speakercables and they sound pretty good. :T

          Omar,

Per forum rules I had to remove the link to the cable. Being that HTGuide is served by a cable manufacturer (CAT Cables) I hope you understand.

We also need to limit the conversation as to what people prefer, banana's or spades. No discussing which brand is better or not (those threads usually get ugly anyway).

          Thanks,

          Kevin D.

I think I remember banana plugs actually having more surface area for contact, but see if you can get some locking ones as I've seen them loosen over time.

                Spade lug question
                by G-Run
Can someone tell me how to connect speader wire to my 'new' 804S using spade lugs? I can't make heads or tails of the rear connectors other than to shove a banana plug in the end. Are the insulators supposed to be removeable?

                Thanks for your time.

Does anyone know if I can connect a spade type speaker wire to the 1095 amp? If so, what is the diameter size?

                Name that spade
                by greggz
On the little red and black jumper cables that come with the Nautilus 800 series speakers there is a WBT crimp connector on one end and a spade on the other.

Does anyone know who makes that spade connector B&W uses?
