Will one RLC-1040 handle the following...

all running at the same time? I am concerned about the first 3 items I listed. This is the first question. The other question being the spacing between the sockets to hook up hospital grade Marinco plugs? These are not the ones which come with the stock power cord. I have a feeling it will be a problem unless I take the specific power cables with the Marinco plugs attached to an authorized dealer and try it myself. Hoping the forum folks have already tried it which would save me a trip. I was looking at the manual online and I do not see how to plug in the first 3 high current devices into 1 RLC-1040 since it only provisions for 2 assuming the Marinco plugs can be located side-by-side. Maybe I can buy 2 of the RLC-1040 but the specific power cords may still be a problem. I am open to any other suggestion/ideas that you may have.

I don't think the subwoofer would benefit much from the power conditioner. Just give it a descent audiophile powercord with rf shielding and it should do fine.

Q: Why would RF sheilding on a power cable help with a subwoofer? Isn't the class D amp going to generate RF of it's own?

I would think having everything assured on one circuit would be a plus. Having the sub on it would help eliminate a chance for a ground-loop.

The 1095 and 1090 both draw 800 'average'. The 1040 is rated for 1440 continuous. The typical draw on the amps will be a lot less then 800 watts, but peak a lot higher. The 1040 can handle substantial peak loads, more then the 1440.

A good rule of thumb is if the equipment can perform fine on a single 15amp circuit, the 1040 should be able to handle it. I don't think you will have a problem, though a 20a circuit with two 1040's would be cool..

Assuming the picture is correct, the spacing on the ground lugs of the outlets is 13/8".

I would worry more about the back-up power during black-outs getting overdrawn. I broke a subwoofer once due to that. Unless there is an emergency auto shutdown in those cases.

I agree with what you are saying but the kicker turns out to be the spacing between 2 "consecutive" outlets on the RLC-1040. Today I made the trip to the authorized dealer to be absolutely sure that the matching Rotel unit can accomodate the power cables that I had. Unfortunately, it did not! I wonder why Rotel did not account for this shortcoming even if it is was rebadged APC unit. They (as well as APC) should know that some consumers like myself may want to hook up power cables with hospital grade Marinco AC plugs. I guess I will think about this some more....

Well that sucks. Kind of being penalized for going with nice plugs. Of course it all boils down to what you said. Some customers have larger plugs, but not most. Being it is re-badged shows they were looking to enter the market with very little R&D costs. That means they needed to find the best solution for most of their customers.

So how close was it to fitting? It looks like they have another 1" or so of backspace to spread them out.

I went straight to the area which mentions "high current" devices on the unit and tried to fit 2 of my power cables side by side. Since I was struggling to get the other one in I did not want to mess up the dealers unit and left things as is. Oh well. I really like the power cables that I have with the nice fittings. Trading down to the stock ones just to get an RLC-1040 is not an option but buying 2 of them is always there I guess I will wait for Uncle Sam to be a little more generous towards me this April. Why Rotel? why?

rlc-1040 and rb-1090

I have the rlc-1040 on a 15 amp circuit with the following (rb-1090, rcd-1072, rc-1070, rt-1080, denon dp-35 turntable). I ran into a problem with the rb-1090, when routed through the rlc-1040, tripping the circuit. Even though everything else was off, the rb-1090 spikes above 15 amps very briefly when first turned on. Became tired of running to the laundry room to reset. Now I route the rb-1090 though a brickwall on the same circuit, and run everything else through the rlc-1040. No problems anymore. Once everything is up and running, I only draw 1-2 amps, and the brickwall is protecting my amp.

Thought about upgrading to 20-amp circuit, but the current solution seems fine.

what is a brickwall ?? does it means that you plug it directly in the wall outlet ? or it's some sort of other electrical protection ?
