This is no April Fools Joke folks. During the next couple of days, we will be picking a day to migrate HTGuide to a new server. We will have the same reliable service we have always had, as we are not changing Hosting Services, only moving to a new updated state of the art server! Support is working to coordinate things right now.
We will announce the date of migration from old server to the new server in due time. We hope to minimize downtime while the DNS propagates to our new IP address, and service is restored. But some downtime is inevitable.
The firmware release notes for the RSP-1068 V1.2.3 to V1.2.4 include:
"- Improved memory backup software"
Can anyone please describe exactly what this means? What's the improvement? Is the user interface for the backup procedure different? Or, is something changed about what gets stored in the backup?
Well, you may recall I had a heat problem with my new HTPC based on Abit/XP-1900 CPU right? Well, trying to resolve that, I bought this cheezy fan heatsink assembly from Best Buy along with a couple of cyclone fans. hey everyone!!!!
have a question. what does the improved memory back up software do for my reciever? is it worth me upgrading my system from version 2.26?

I'm looking to make an exact backup/image of my notebook drive. What is the best piece of software that would allow me to do this? I've heard of Ghost and Drive Image, are these basically the same program?
Any experience as to which is better? Or maybe a piece of backup software is better?...
