    Bi-wiring Config for RA-02

Apologies for posting yet another bi-wiring query but I really wanted to get this right having already blown one amp fuse after my first attempt.

I have a Rotel RA-02 amp and bi-wirable Linn speakers. Should I be using the second set of speaker outlet channels on my amp and if so - what goes where?! I have 4 sets of banana pugs at each end of my speaker cable.

    Any guidance appreciated, thank you.

It will be easier to use both speaker outputs, the amp will see it the same. Just choose one set for the high frequency speaker wires and the other for the low frequency speaker wires.

      Thanks Kevin, I'll try that.

Just one more question: one of my speaker cables is slightly shorter than the other one. Should this make a difference?

Nope. It would take a significant length difference to show up in the sound.

Classe Amps - Possible Case for Speaker Wires
          by beden1
Possible case that speaker wires and balanced versus RCA connections make a difference that I had not considered.

This hobby is complex in nature, and it's interesting that one gets to continue learning along the way through experimentation.

Case in point: I have owned...

what are Rotelians using for speaker wires?
          by NHT
At the time, Im using regular 16 gauge wires(biwired) from my Rotel to B&W CDM-7NTs setup but its time for an upgrade to better speaker wires. I need some recommendation for the best bang for the buck speaker wires. Any suggestions? My budget is 200-300. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated....

          Re-stripping speaker wires
          by George Bellefontaine
How often should I disconnect my speaker wires , clip of the ends and re-strip for a new connection. Also, how do I know when I have any kind of oxidation. Is it something you can see ?

          Biwiring and Sub Crossover
          by Russ L
I run the speaker wires for my bookshelf speakers through my sub. The crossover is set for 150Hz so the sub handles the lower bass. My question is: If I want to biwire my B&W bookshelfs can I just run the biwire from the sub to the bookshelfs or do I have to run the biwire between the amp and sub...
