    Biwiring and Sub Crossover

I run the speaker wires for my bookshelf speakers through my sub. The crossover is set for 150Hz so the sub handles the lower bass. My question is: If I want to biwire my B&W bookshelfs can I just run the biwire from the sub to the bookshelfs or do I have to run the biwire between the amp and sub as well? Or is biwiring not a possibility for this kind of setup? :scratchhead: Regards, Russ

    recommend an affordable sub
    by miner
I am contemplating a sub to use with my B&W 804s - preferably in the $800 range. Does it need to be an 800 series sub (B&W) or could a 600 or 700 series be used? Also, with my current set up (Rotel RC-1070 & RB-1070) would I hook sub to amp & then 804s to sub or run a pre-out to the...

Do I really need a sub with N804?
    by miner
After 3 weeks of usage my N804 are starting to open up. Previously I had Polk Audio RT20p with built in sub (2 - 8" / speaker). I was really missing the lower end with my N804 initially but have almost decided against the sub while listening last night. The bottom end is beginning to open up,...

Is there a measured benefit to biwiring?
    by Jesse111
I biwire because it just seems more efficient but in a blind test I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference. I will continue to do it if for no other reason than for the additonal gauge "benefit" and it's just good fun. But I also don't use extrememly expensive cables and they are also...
