Speaker Wire Connections to my RB-1070??

Im fairly new to this home audio thing and I was wondering if someone could help me out. Im having trouble with the speaker wire connections on the output of my RB-1070; mainly they seem very loose and are easily pulled out. Audioquest interconnect type 4s with silver banana plugs are being used. Am I doing something wrong?

Not sure about those specifically rattman, most are friction fit. If you can see where they are compressed you can possibly take a small screwdriver or other small tool and open them back up.

      Are they this type?

I have never seen that type of banana before. Maybe do what was suggested and carefully bend then out a bit.

AudioQuest cables and other audio products combine solid conductors, high-purity metals, specialized geometries, and stable dielectrics to enable naturally beautiful sounds and images.

If you've unscrewed the terminals (not completely - but loose), but the banana plugs in, then screwed the terminals back up tightly, things should be alright. If they are not and you can't solve it yourself, call your dealer - they will sort you out!

            Happy listening!

According to the manual, the power amp requires "dual bannana plugs" Most speaker cables do not come with dual banana connectors, and I am planning (at some point) to bi-amp my speakers. Will regular(single) banana connectors not work for some reason?

Quick question......anyone have a preference on how to terminate in wall speaker wire to the back of plates. The plate i have accepts bare wire, banana clips, etc. I can't decide what would be the best. Here is a picture of the back of the plate:

              Bare speaker wire connections
              by John22614
Curious how many of you use bare speaker wire connections and how you deal with wire corrosion. I just replaced my speaker wires using 10 gage 8 foot runs with bare connections to both my amp and speakers and it sounds really good. How often do you think I need to cut back the wire to deal with corrosion?...

I also posted part of this under the cables section but I wanted to hear directly from other Rotel 1080 owners
"I've brought home a pair of Audioquest type-6 for demo purposes only. They have 2 banana plugs on the amp end and 4 on the speaker end. They consider these bi-wire but I thought...
