    Rotel RA-02: Blown fuse

I stupidly blew a fuse in my RA-02 amp. I've taken off the cover, located the fuse in question and just wanted to make sure that the new fuse I have bought has the right spec.

The RA-02 takes a T4A 250v fuse. I've just picked up a '4A 250v' fuse. How important is the T ?! Will the 4A work okay in this amp?

    Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

The T stands for time delay and is necesary to deal with the 'in-rush' current on switch on.Your fuse should work but may blow prematurely due to the stress of switch on ,that's my understanding anyway.

Thanks for the advice Gordon. I'll try and track down a fuse with the 'T' just to be safe. I'm living in Tokyo at the moment so I'll need to brush up on my language skills!

        RA-01 Blown Fuse
        by ryewoods
I blew a fuse in my Rotel RA-01 the other day. Being that I got the amp as a graduation present and of course the person who gave it to me no longer has the receipt, I decided to try and fix it myself. Today I opened it up and found the bad fuse. On it, it reads "T4L 250V." Does that mean...

        Anyone solved 1080 Fuse issue?
        by Mitchell
Has anyone found a long term solution to the 1080 fuse issue?
Some of the blown fuse posts seem to have started in early 2004. Has anyone who has blown a fuse managed to go at least 6-8 months without blowing them again and if so did they leave it on all the time, not use trigger or some combination?...

        by stanleyleecm
I just got a RA02 last week, I have to say that it is great and sounds really good compare to what I have before (yamaha RXV-1300). I paired up the RA02 with NHT SB2 and a Denon 1710. And all I have is a RCA interconnect connecting my int-amp with my dvd.

My question is am I using the...

        RB-1095 fuse change
        by tomasito
        Hello,
Has anyone changed the fuse in a RB-1095.
I don't get audio coming out of the rear channe, I think one of the fuses is blown. I opened the 1095 and the fuses are buried way in the PCB.

I experienced this with the 1080, It was a blown fuse. The fuses in the RB-1080...

        Newbie w/blown rb980bx
        by jtcalho
AS i stated in the title my 980bx is out of commision. I blame my wife, because she didn't mention anything until i confronted her. ANY way, what i thought was going to be a simple fuse replacement in order to get my amp back up and running, it was not. After purchasing another fuse and installing,...
