    2 Channel Amps

I own an RSX 1056 5 channel reciver and would like to know can I add a 2 channel amp to my existing system? What benefit would it give me to the music side and would there be a benefit for watching movies? I like to listen to music and my Rotel dealer said the 1056 would deliver 100 watts @ 2channel and 75 @ 5.1 is this correct? Concidering a 2 channel upgrade if it will increase the cd side of my 1056 anyone out there with any help would be appricated.
    Thanks Paul
    Just a side bar I'm using B&W DM603 S3 fronts and DM602.5 S3 rear.

I own the 1056 as well and added a 1080 2 channel amp shortly after. I was allowed by my dealer to take the 1080 home to try it before I bought it. It made a big difference for me especially at moderate volume levels. It brings the music more clarity and punch - I highly recommend it. It makes the movies sound great as well. Looks cool in the rack too!
    Hope this helps.

      Hi,

I would like to ask for your experience support.

I’m planning to buy a system that will give me the benefit of the two worlds with high sound quality (fine audio-2 channel and multi channel for home theater).
My current speakers are the newest B&W’s Model-705,...

      RSX-1056 or RB-976 for fronts
      by Tom Caines
I'm running a RSX-1056 (75W/channel) for 5.1 and have the option to use a RB-976 6-channel (60W/channel) amplifier in bridge mode for 3-channels at 150W/channel for the fronts and redirect the RSX-1056's front amps to drive speakers in another room with Zone 2 material. Alternately, I can let the RSX_1056...

      Hi Guys,

My first post here, but I am not new to audio, but am just now (re)emerging from life in a time capsule, and I need some input.

In the past few months I have been kicking some new life back into my late '80's early 90's stereo system which got rolled into an otherwise...

Hi everyone. I am so glad that I found this board . . . it looks like it will provide lots of great information.

I'm considering upgrading my system from 2 channel to a 5.1 system. I currently have an RB-1080 powering my Paradigm Studio 80's. I do have some budget considerations and...
