Can somone tell me what the differences are between the RB-991, and RB1080 Power amps?

Hi Jeffo, I own a 1080 and used to sell the 991.Imo the 1080 is less bright and hard sounding than the 991.With regard to size I can't remmber I 'm afraid.Check the Rotel website under the support section for details of discontinued product.

I dont think the 991 has the 12 volt trigger like the 1080 but not 100% on this.Comment

Hi guys ! with the oppourtunity to buy either the RB 1070 or the RB 991 for approx $600-$700 Aus (used), I was wondering which one would be best.
The RB 1070 is the current model at 2 x 130 watt.
The RB 991 is about 3 years old and is 2 x 200 watt.

Hello everyone, im new here but i couldnt resist, as ive had nothing but blowing fuses since ive owned my RB991 ( same as the 1080 apart from the remote trigger)
So far :my amp was originally driving 4 ohm sub in an enclosed space, fuses would blow on a regular basis, Lots of blame went... -

I've had this RB 991 for several years as part of a 7.1 home theater system and have had a hum issue that may or may not be a problem.
