    Sub with bypass

    Here is my dilema.

I want to listen to music with bypass enabled. The thing is i don't no how to hook it up or if i got the right equipment or if it's possible.

Now if someone would be so kind as to school me on this process it would be much appreciated.

If this is possible, will the setup still work with 5.1. I don't want to get up everytime i want to listen to music vs 5.1 to switch the wires back and forth.

    My setup is:
    B&W 804S series LR
    HTM4 center
    601 S3 surrounds
    paradigm PW 2100
    RSX 1056
    RCD1072
    bryston 3bst-for 2 channel

    Thx for any help

    1) Unplug the cables coming out of the front outputs of the 1056 going to the Bryston inputs.

    2) Unplug the subout cable going from the 1056 to the 2100

    3) Plug new cables into the front outputs of the 1056 and run them to the stereo inputs on the 2100

    4) Plug the cables you removed in #1 into the outputs of the 2100

    5) In the 1056's menu set the front speakers to LARGE and the subwoofer to NO.

This changes the subwoofer management duty from the 1056 to the 2100. The front speakers will be fixed at 80hz, but you should be able to set the sub crossover to a good level to blend.

This give's a subwoofer with EVERY mode, including bypass.

        RSX-1056: 7.1 analog input for Blu-Ray
        by fvoelling
        Hi,

I've been running a 1056 with a 7.1 speaker setup for a couple of years now, and started watching Blu-Ray movies from a PS3 80GB model last year. The PS3 is connected to the 1056 with digital coax and component.

Since my current setup is limited to 5.1 and 6.1, both...

        RSX-1056 - A review
        by stantheman2
As promised, here is a more detailed review of my RSX-1056. I've had it over two weeks, and have spent most of my free time listening to music and watching DVDS using the 1056. That's perhaps testimony enough to the overall sonic quality of the 1056 - I'd rather listen through it than spend my free...

RSX 1056 firmware update and bass management

I just completed my Cobalt S set of loudspeakers with a JM LAB Cobalt SW 27A subwoofer (secondhand) and had the help of an experienced friend to calibrate it.

I have an RSX 1056 and when he saw the OSD menu, he told me that I was using an old firmware and that updating it will help to...

        2100 preamp

I have a 2.1 bedroom setup. I have been using an Outlaw RR2150 receiver until now. There have been some issues and it is going in for repair. I purchased a pre owned 2100 to compare because there were a few things I was not happy about the Outlaw in addition to the malfunction it currently has.

        Parasound 2100
        by MichiganMike
I have a Parasound 2100 Preamp with a Parasound A23 amp driving Salk SongTower speakers in a two channel system. This system does not sound as engaging for music as I had hoped. My home theater system which uses a Parasound C2 with a Parasound A21 amp and Von Schweikert VR4 JR is a significant improvement...
