Different silver finishes

Does anyone else notice there are some noticable difference in their silver finishes?

My 1072 has much more texture and has much more shine then my 1068 or 1077. Not that he 1072 looks better, just different. At first it didnt bother me, but its starting too. It would be a hassel to return it, and who knows if I can find an exact match. Is this just a lack of quality control, or an isolated example?

The silver finish on all 3 of my Rotel components match exactly.
(RC1090, RCD1072, RB1080)
Purchased at the same time/same dealer in March of 2004.

I like The look of the Rotel silverl/black components , the black only stuff is a bit drab but the silver finish shows marks to easily and is hard to clean.
