    Rotel RSP 976 - 2nd zone by cumputer i/o

Hey! I'm the owner of a nice Rotel RSP 976. I would like to use the 2nd zone for my kitchen, but... could anyone tell me if it is possible to control this zone with the computer I/O input? I prefer a touchscreen over a IR-receiver.... ;x(

The 'computer IO' port on the back is just a standard RS232 serial port. Yes you can do the same functions as the remote through this port, but you would have to run a cable from the 976 to your computer's serial port and then use something like Girder or custom software to control it.

      Zone 2 question: RSP-1068/RMB-1077
      by rhubarbe
I am thinking about buying a Rotel RSP-1068/RMB-1077 combo, because I like the sound, respect the brand, and just as importantly, the price is right.

      The RMB-1077 is 7 channel and my setup is only five channel (3 x Polk lc265i and 2 x lc65i). I have a second zone (2 x Polk lc265i)...

      Adding a RB 1070 to RSP 1066 & RB 985 combination
      by Ross Smith
Thanks to Rotel, I have just had my faulty RSP 976 replaced with a RSP 1066 running a RB 985 Mk 1, I couldn't believe how much smoother and detailed the sound is. No more do I have to squirm in my seat when listening to D/D music DVD's and the CD stereo performance has me tapping my feet and listening...

      3rd RSP 1068 a Goer
      by bleeding ears
      Hi guys,

After having problems with my 2nd RSP 1068 I was not happy about having to have the unit repaired by a local repairer instead of replaced.

This would have probably meant a long wait and then getting a unit back with who knows what done to it? and hopefully...
