    Rotel ra 1070 for b&w xt4 ?

Do you guys think the ra 1070 could drive xt4.
Today i have the xt2 whith this amp and it work just great, but i want to upgrade the speaker to the xt4.
I like the sound of ra 1070 and want to keep it.

I have two way to go.

    1. keep the xt2 and add a sub

2 sell the xt2 and get the xt4

    That is the question.

The XT4 would really sing with a RB1080. I owned a pair untill yesterday sold them to upgrade. I would say you need at least 100W

Yep that would be fine. I drove mine with an RB980.
Down the road get a Used Classe 201 and you will
here an improvement. I had the opportunity to hook
them up to my cousins CA201 and it took them up a notch.

So, you have sold your xt4?
What are you bringing home instead.

The Paradigm S6 V2 is at the top of the list. I will pit that against the Thiel 2.4.
My listening room isn't ready and neither is the S6 so I figured now was the time to make the change.

Greg:...go take a listen to the Martin Logan Vantages. We have similar tastes so I think you may like the sound.

OBTW, I've driven the XT4s successfully with a 1070, but Mucke may want to look at something cleaner than the Rotel to make the tweeters really sing clear. The Rotel amps are a bit grainy on top.

                    Take it easy guys.
I want to upgrade one thing at the time.
There are always better things out there.
For the time been, i am quite happy whith my ra 1070.
Before i have the rc 1070 and rb 1070 combo but i sold it.
I want it clean and simple and get the ra 1070.
I dont know but i think that the integrated amp sound better than the other combo.
Dont ask me why, but i think so.
