Rotel RSX 1067 or 1056 with a rb 1080 amp for the XT4s. I've heard the latter combination and it's very top end sounding.

Personally I would not get either of your two choices. If you want a reciever a rotel 1067 would be a good fit. I have heard this combo (with out the PV1) and its a good match.

I'll ditto Vancouver and Jerry on this. That Denon won't do them justice at all.

go for the rotel, but if you plan on listening to your music and movies ad higher volume levels and want to stick with a reciever get the Rotel 1067.

This may seem counterintuitive, but my experience is, to get the best SQ from your (very nice) speakers at lower listening levels, the more important it is to have a powerful amp.

That sounds ridiculous! And, I completey agree with you!

I did some a/b testing, and I found that between a Rotel 120 wpc and 200 wpc amp, the 200 wpc always sounded better. However, the difference was most noticeable when the volume was lower. I'll never understand why that was the case, but I certainly share your opinion.

It's all about the first watt. Lower power amps in the same manufacturers line are ususally there to meet a price point. Where the higher powered amps are built with more performance in mind.

I had the SR7400, and then got the Rotel 1056 and now I realize what the sound is all about. Price is just a bit more that SR7500.

I am thinking of home theatre speakers, maybe 602, DM600, and LCR600, with eather marantz or pioneer above.

It came to my attention last year, that if you wished to receive the new local high definition channels through DirecTV, that you must now LEASE a new HDDVR, instead of buying as we could previously through vendors such as TiVo brand products.

Myself, TiVo had become as much a part of...

I currently have a full FPM set up with B&W PV1 sub powered by a rotel rsx 1067. I have to admit its a sweet sound system. As many of you know regardless of how good your system sounds, and with out even hearing something better you always think of ways to improve.

Okay I need to make a decision within the next couple of days.

To begin, I was going to just get the 7500 for the dual monitor support and DVD play back. Those were the two most important criteria, gaming is a distant 3rd.

But then I looked at pricing and what came with...
